If you type up the AP Human Geography key issue chapter, there will be a bunch of videos to come up. I would probably study flashcards well, and then there's some YouTuber. I would make notes on each chapter and re-read those notes, and then our teacher required us to make flashcards of each unit. How I studied was I made notes on each textbook. I never got above an 85 on the multiple-choice test, but I didn't do that well. I want to re-test them to get a good grade. It's important that you do well on them, but I didn't do that well with unit tests. I'm going to tell you quickly how I studied for a unit test, because these make up a big part of your grade. If you know how to manage your time and if you're in like a bunch of other extracurricular activities, you can still easily succeed in the class as long as you manage your time well. ![]() I wasn't used to that either, but don't be scared because if you can manage your time, you will be fine. If they give me a long amount of time, I will read the questions five times, but you learn how to pace yourself on tests and quizzes because you have to go pretty fast in AP classes. The time is also short, and I take so much time on tests and quizzes. ![]() That's why I wrote so much because on the quizzes, the questions were kind of hard, and so if I wrote all those notes, I could easily know the answer because you're looking at your notes. We would take notes and then have quizzes every day on what we read that night, and so if you had notes, you could use your notes on the quiz. It would take me like two hours to do the notes, but I also color it. It was like four or five pages, and you just take notes on it, and I am a very in-depth note-taker. It was just that we had to take notes on the key issue in the chapter. So, it wasn't like every night, but homework, it's not crazy hard homework for us. It's manageable, so the homework level for me was, we had homework, I would say like three times a week, I'd say we had homework either like three times a week or maybe two times a week.Įvery time we'd have class, we needed to get assigned homework, but he was very lenient. Many freshmen take this class and succeed in it, and so I would say it's not like an easy class, but it is hard. It probably is the easiest AP class because it's offered to freshmen. It is a hard class because it's an AP class, but it's one of the easiest. It's not super easy, it's not like you don't have to study for it and you don't have to do homework or anything like that. ![]() It is a hard class because it is an AP class. Is it a hard class? I'm going to say 'yes'. People were really scared, and they're like it is hard. AP Human Geography is different at every school because they're different teachers and all that stuff, so you may not have the same experience as me, but I'll give you some tips and tricks. It's not a crazy, hard class, so don't chicken out and be scared that you're not going to get an 'A' or something because many people take it and are very strong-willed and want to get an 'A' do so. If you work hard, you can easily get an 'A' in the class. I've never taken an AP class before,' and so then they don't take it. A lot of people sign up for it, and they're like, 'No, I can't do this. ![]() The first thing I'm just going to start with is to not be scared to take the class.

However, it seems there is a whitelist of properties that are allowed to be set, and HIDPointerAccelerationTable is not one of them. ![]() You can see here where IOHIDPointerScrollFilter will run its acceleration setup on response to a property change. However, it will not report when it fails to set a property, and these settings don't seem to update the System Preferences UI. This is how you would disable acceleration. Normally, you can set properties for HID devices like so (this is matching my IntelliMouse): hidutil property -matching '' IntelliMouse used to use IOHIPointing but this is now deprecated. The IntelliMouse curve was defined in the ist as a simple binary protocol under the key HIDPointerAccelerationTable. The parametric way seems like an improvement on the table, allowing for a smoother acceleration curve, rather than defining a jagged curve based on a few xy coords. The algorithm can be created with an IOHIDTableAcceleration (which is how IntelliPoint encoded their accel curve), or with IOHIDParametricAcceleration. WindowServer: (IOKit) Add filter:IOHIDServiceFilter uuid:25268D26-BB27-4522-AEBC-02B6A6B920AC name.IOHIDPointerScrollFilter for service:0x1000df3e6Īn IOHIDPointerAccelerator is created which takes an algorithm as input. $ sudo log stream -level debug -predicate 'subsystem = ""' The instantiation point of this "filter" is not open-source AFAICT. It is implemented as a CFPlugin, and roughly implements the IOHIDServiceFilter.h interface. MacOS pointer acceleration is performed here in IOHIDPointerScrollFilter.cpp. I am in the process of writing a DriverKit driver for the mouse. The driver is only compiled for Intel so doesn't work on new MacBooks. I have become accustomed to the Microsoft IntelliMouse acceleration curve. and here's the programmatical variant, as I'll be trying to roll my own solution: Disabling mouse acceleration in Mac OS X SO Before 10.4, there was a function to which you could pass your own acceleration curve which solved everything.īy the way, here is the Linux counterpart to this question: Disabling mouse acceleration in X.Org (Linux) About every code snippet I found via Google.įrom what I've gathered so far, the only method to kill the acceleration curve seems to be to set the mouse scaling to a negative value (for which there are apparently two methods.) Unfortunately, this also kills the tracking speed.Answers on this question: Make Mac OS X mouse acceleration more Windows-like.Mouse Acceleration Preferences Pane, the Snow Leopard version of which can get me close to a linear response, but at the cost of tracking speed (sensitivity).I'm not looking for any commercial solutions. I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.5 on a MacBook Pro. I've been at this for a long time, I'll probably have already tried the most popular answers. I like my touchpad acceleration and would like to keep it if possible. So far, I haven't found a way to get linear mouse response in Mac OS X.Īt this point I'm seriously considering installing another operating system.īut before I do that, or go hacking around OS binaries, maybe someone here has a solution? I've tried a gazillion programs and fiddled with every setting there is or there can be added. I've tried getting used to it, but I'm reminded how off it feels when I boot into OS X and it doesn't feel off at all.I've been looking for a solution to the unusable mouse problem in Mac OS X for ages. As much as I try, I can't keep the mouse acceleration in linux from feeling unnatural or stilted to me. Something like ControllerMate's (on Mac OS) capacity for setting mouse acceleration curves seems like it would be an easy way of solving this problem, but ControllerMate is Mac OS only and I don't know of a tool for Linux that offers the same functionality.Īs unpopular as the opinion is, I like mouse acceleration, and I think the curves used by default in Mac OS feel the most comfortable. (There is libinput Accel Speed, but that seems to control speed rather than acceleration) I can't see any properties configurable via xinput provided by libinput for configuring acceleration. The closest I've gotten is switching to the "adaptive" profile, switching from Wayland to Xorg, using xset m 7/2 1, ( xset m maxes out at an acceleration argument of 3.5) and setting my mouse to a low DPI setting and the speed to a high setting, but this arrangement feels fragile and overly hacky for what feels like should be a technically simple task, and the acceleration still doesn't feel quite right. I only seem to have the option of choose between "flat" and "adaptive" mouse acceleration profiles. ![]() While at best, a mesh router would be better, A1 Security Cameras encourages security camera system owners to just use a centralized recorder that effectively connects all of the cameras before linking to the router. IP addresses when accessed through a browser tend to roll and cause difficulty for easy access. Why should I connect my camera to a recorder instead of the router?Ĭonnecting your security camera to a recorder allows for greater support in remote streaming and an added edge in cybersecurity protection. Such a process is easy and allows separate computers and mobile devices a route to remote streaming through compatible web browsers. However, in order to view most security camera systems remotely, you will need to port forward your internet protocol system. Whether with brand-specific or third-party applications, the downloaded app itself does much of the work for mobile viewing. How do I configure my phone for remote streaming?Ī1 Security Cameras has previously covered this topic in an article titled “ How to Configure your Mobile Device for Remote Viewing” that more thoroughly describes the process. Furthermore, some even require a specific version of a particular internet browser when remote streaming from a laptop or traditional computer is concerned. However, there is not one universal example that applies to each security camera brands. What is the best browser for CCTV streaming?Īs shown, each manufacturer features compatibility with at least one of the major internet browsers. *Note on Honeywell: This brand has developed its own browser that provides support for Honeywell security cameras and related products. *Note on Axis: Browser compatibility with Axis remote streaming requires updated firmware. A1 Security Cameras has also already authored a guide that helps with resetting your IP cameras based on the information provided to us by manufacturers. Down below, A1 Security Cameras will provide a list of many of our security camera IP camera and NVR brands and how to access them through a browser. Put simply, some brands of security cameras and recording devices are either specific when it comes to browsers or work through each of them. How do I view a security camera on my browser? Such information is important because it is one of the easiest ways to stream from a cellular phone or computer not connected to the main surveillance system. As an overview for this post, port forwarding is the use of a specific address or code created by IP cameras and network video recorders that can be searched in a given browser to live stream either device. when that does not work.Ī1 Security Cameras has authored a previous article titled “ Port Forwarding for IP Security Cameras and Networks” specifically meant to explain the subject in greater detail. Contacting the original manufacturer is the best course of action when the manual does not feature it because each product will have a different RTSP Url. To find your device’s specific RTSP, check the corresponding user manual for that particular information. Furthermore, for IP security camera systems, it provides enhanced compatibility with ONVIF and makes a smoother streaming experience. Cameras that use analog signals do not apply to such and cannot be streamed through RTSP. For example, you will need the RTSP of a given IP security camera when using it with an NVR of another manufacturer. This information is significant because it makes streaming from modern surveillance products more accessible and is required for products from different brands. Still, for simplicities sake, we will only refer to it concerning surveillance. As such, this protocol is not explicitly confined to just streaming the view of a security cameras. ![]() ![]() Standing for Real Time Streaming Protocol, RTSP is a protocol used to transmit ongoing or live audio and video from one device to another through a given network. 7 Can I live stream from my security camera?
